Yesterday, we were able to look at some few things and the highlight was you must BE- FORMED by Christ and BE CHRIST-LIKE before you can PERFORM (not showing off but doing the works of God) like Christ.
Seek BECOMING NOT PERFORMING
When you become, performance will be natural.
Today we will be looking at a great factor.
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,”
Philippians 2:5-9 NKJV
One major secret of grace that I have seen is BEING UNDER AUTHORITY.
Many of us are full of revelations, we walk in the power gifts and strange dimensions, we even command online following whereas our seniors or elders don’t have such dimensions.
So these dimensions tend to get into our heads that we look down on those ahead of us and see no reason to submit to their authority.
For some of us, the purpose of mentorship or fatherhood is for ENDORSEMENT. What an error. We look for a man that can endorse us to the world. THIS BLOW QUICK MENTALITY WILL KILL US OOOO.
Being under authority is work and it is hard work. It means you can be controlled, your plans can be cancelled, you can be scolded, stopped, rebuked, corrected but yet you are covered. There are channels and pathways of blessings over your life.
Independence is great but not for anyone that is going to do anything tangible and significant for God.
God’s pattern of trusting men and raising men for generational impact is by placing them under authority.
It is easy to just rise up and start-up something and then look for a mentor or father who will endorse you. You may even keep calling him your father, keep attending his meetings and he may come to preach for you. That is not fatherhood oo.
If someone is your father, YOU WILL SERVE.
I know the secret of all the things we are seeing by the grace of God. It is because I am under the authority of my father and the leaders (mentors) he has positioned around me to guide me (Tutors and Governors).
I NEVER TAKE ANY STEP WITHOUT CARRYING THEM ALONG, I MEAN I NEVER.
I go into YMR fully convinced that God will move not because I have fasted and prayed alone but because I have the blessings of my Father and Mother and guidance by my leaders.
One of the greatest miracles God did in my life is to place me under authority where I can be checkmated, called, summoned.
REMEMBER HASTE SLOWLY.
BUT ABOVE ALL, PRAY FOR A GOOD AUTHORITY OVER YOUR HEAD OO.
